The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) is the government’s principal investment promotion and development agency under the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI). MIDA is Malaysian’s main investment promotion agency and our key roles include:
• MIDA promotes investment in Malaysia’s manufacturing and services sectors.
• MIDA provides advice on investment opportunities, incentives, regulations, and procedures.
• MIDA offers support services to investors, including assistance with project implementation and operation.
• MIDA helps investors navigate the investment process, from initial inquiries to project realization.
• MIDA recommends policies and strategies on industrial promotion and development.
• MIDA plans for industrial development in Malaysia.
• MIDA evaluates applications for manufacturing licenses, expatriate posts, and tax incentives.
• MIDA facilitates the exchange of information among institutions involved in industrial development.

SEMINAR: EXPLORE MALAYSIA 2025 :
“Investment Opportunities in
High Growth, High Value Industries in Malaysia –
Green Investment Strategy”

Description:
As part of Malaysia’s participation in the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, MIDA is organizing a seminar focused on Malaysia’s commitment to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by early 2050. This event will highlight best practices in waste management and explore new growth areas in Green Technology and waste management solutions.
Seminar Objectives

1. Net-Zero Commitment: Discuss Malaysia’s strategies and policies aimed at reducing carbon emissions, aligning with global sustainability goals.

2. Waste Management Innovations: Showcase cutting-edge waste management technologies and practices from Japan and Malaysia, emphasizing their potential for global adoption.

3. Green Technology Opportunities: Identify emerging opportunities in Green Technology, including renewable energy, green buildings, and integrated waste management, highlighting Malaysia’s position as a hub for green innovation.

4. Collaboration and Partnerships: Foster international partnerships between Japanese and Malaysian companies to leverage expertise and resources in sustainable development.

Participation Overview:
