The theme “Weaving a Future in Harmony” highlights the power of cooperation and understanding in creating a more inclusive and sustainable world. Just as skilled hands weave simple threads into intricate fabrics, nations working together can transform the present into a harmonious and prosperous future for all.

VIRTUAL TOUR

The Malaysia Pavilion is designed to showcase Malaysia’s diverse culture and vibrant economy. The Pavilion consists of three (3) floors with a floor are size of 2,654,52 sqm. The designer of Malaysia Pavilion is Kengo Kuma from Japan.

As night descends, the pavilion transforms, casting an ethereal glow that mirrors the shimmering opulence of gold and silver threads. This design highlights Malaysia’s diverse cultural heritage, demonstrating how diversity can be a catalyst for creating an innovative, inclusive and sustainable future.

A unique design featuring bamboo as the primary material.

The tropical ambiance of the Malaysia Pavilion extends to the outdoor area and rooftop.

Embodying the theme “Weaving a Future in Harmony”, the pavilion’s impressive bamboo facade features a captivating pattern of interwoven ‘ribbons’, evoking a fluid elegance of “songket”, Malaysia’s iconic fabric. Each ribbon consists of bamboo poles that are in vertical alignment to the sky, symbolising growth towards one (1) sky shared by all. The six (6) ribbons ‘intersect’ with one another, to form an interwoven facade that appears to flow and ‘weave’ like a “songket”, creating an illusion of a bamboo forest cloud that invites visitors to experience the warm and inviting tropical atmosphere unique to Malaysia.
